Your Nickel's Worth Publishing offers an inexpensive means for storytellers to publish their works, producing books with a prairie flavour—either in creative source (author/illustrator) or in subject matter. Your Nickel's Worth Publishing is deeply committed to providing a publishing resource for those niche writers and illustrators whose stories might otherwise not be told.

Corporate Mandate
Your Nickel’s Worth Publishing (YNWP) provides professional intermediary services between the author and the print industry, and assists Saskatchewan writers and artists to bring their works to print.

Company Information
Established in 1998, and a member of SaskBooks since 1999, YNWP is a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Heather Nickel of Regina, SK. Heather holds a B.A. in English from the University of Saskatchewan (1989), and attends industry-related seminars and workshops hosted by SaskBooks, the Saskatchewan Writers Guild and the Editors’ Association of Canada, Saskatchewan branch. She has served on the SaskBooks board since 2007 and is its current past-president.

Each YNWP title goes through the complete editorial process, including research, substantive editing, copy-editing, fact-checking, proofreading, and design/layout. YNWP exercises editorial discretion in the titles it selects to appear under its imprint, and undertakes the marketing, promotion and distribution of its titles. YNWP distributes its book through all major booksellers and library wholesalers, as well as online and through a number of non-traditional retailers.
